This course is designed as the introduction to a multi-part course on nutrition and health through better eating.  We will discuss the principles of healthy eating which focuses on whole, nutritious, and unprocessed foods.  Participants will learn concepts of macro nutrients; the standards of American nutrition, and how these impact your health.  After the discussion portion; we will work to create meals that support healthy eating, leave you feeling full, and provide variety.

Instructor:Joe Allen -- Joe has been an athlete and fitness enthusiast for his whole life.  Over the last 24 months; Joe has focused on improving his personal nutrition by following a number of basic principles of healthy eating.  By focusing on nutrition, Joe has significantly improved his overall health and physical condition.  Joe is passionate about nutrition; and dedicated to sharing his knowledge.
