Boston Foodie Tour

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Join us for a ride on the Downeaster train to Boston to experience one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods - the North End – also known as “Little Italy.” We will eat like REAL ITALIANS and along the tour and we will meet REAL ITALIANS – but no passport is required!
While this unique neighborhood encompasses only about a half of a mile, there will be quite a bit of walking on this tour. We will take a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll from North Station to the North End and spend the next three hours wandering the cobblestone streets of this historic area first settled in 1630’s. We will see the Paul Revere house and statue, St Stephens church where Rose Kennedy had her baptism and funeral, the Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. We will also visit Boston’s best delis, cafes and bakeries along the way. Come hungry!
While all the food we stop for on the tour is included in your tour package, if you’d like to shop along the tour, we recommend bringing some cash, as many businesses we visit are cash-only businesses. After the tour ends we will have some free time in Boston - you can visit the Boston Aquarium ( on your own) or visit the many shops in the area.
Depart 7:15am from Gorham Recreation for 8:15 train departure.
