A cooking Class for Kids ages 9 & up

Through individualized cooking experiences participants will learn to:


  • measure ingredients correctly

  • combine and mix ingredients according to recipe instructions

  • identify healthful foods 

  • understand safe methods for preparing food and handling kitchen tools

If at first you don’t succeed—pie, pie again! Join us for this hands-on class and learn how mix, roll and bake perfectly flaky pie crusts and make a tasty fruit pie. You’ll enjoy practicing simple—yet impressive—techniques for making an artful pie top. Plus, we’ll show you how to create a homemade caramel sauce for some of the most delicious apple tartlets you’ve ever tasted.
We will also talk about the science of gluten when making pie crusts, knife safety, and food safety.
