Fresh Pizza and Ingredients
A "make and take" cooking class for Kids ages 9 & up
Focusing on fun, each class will explore how cooking uses language, math, science and art to create the food we eat. 

Our instructors will introduce participants to the fundamentals of baking -from reading and following recipes to the importance of kitchen safety. We will make our pizza dough, sauces, prepare toppings, bake - and enjoy our work!

Through individualized cooking experiences participants will learn to:

  • measure ingredients correctly

  • combine and mix ingredients according to recipe instructions

  • identify healthy foods 

  • understand safe methods for preparing food and handling kitchen tools

  • understand the science behind getting dough to rise
